What is PD fast charging?

 

PD fast charging is a fast charging protocol, a safe charging standard developed by the International USB-IF Association, and is compatible with chargers that support the USB PD protocol. This protocol is output through the Type-C interface. As the most widely supported fast charging protocol, most new smartphones support PD protocol fast charging, especially Apple directly adopts the PD fast charging standard as the standard fast charging protocol for Apple devices.
The conditions for fast charging = device + charger + data cable all support consistent fast charging protocols and power. Therefore, if a mobile phone wants to achieve fast charging, it depends on whether the data cable and charger support the same fast charging protocol as the mobile phone when buying a charger and data cable for the mobile phone.

 

Although the price of GaN chargers is slightly higher, they can provide a better charging experience. GaN performance + PD fast charging can even provide fast charging for laptops. You no longer need to carry a heavy power adapter when you go out.
