Metal and fabric hand warmers
The framework of this type includes a metal body which is built with two layers of metal, commonly steel or aluminum. The top layer of the metal is often copper-coated to let the heat pass quickly to the heating pad. Inside, the warmer is filled with a sodium acetate solution and a small solid crystal. When pressure is applied to the disk, the liquid inside the warmer will trap air bubbles and begin to crystallize around the disk as the temperature rises. The exterior is usually wrapped in fabric or silicone. This is for providing safety and comfort to the user. It comes with a heat-retaining feature that covers the warmer to prevent burns when touched. The heat is set to crystallize after a few hours; the device can be reset anytime by boiling it in water.”
Rechargeable hand warmers
